Our Central station consists of,

We are located in the Central Business District of Whangarei we have a full compliment of 24 hour staff, our coms staff have no other duties apart from manning the coms centre even during business hours.
We have a large Telephone Answering component as well as monitoring; our monitoring room is busy even during the middle of the night. At peak periods we double shift the station.

We carry out messaging for Northland Roads (800 Works), Northland Forests for Fire control, Whangarei District Council, Kaipara District Council, Northland Regional Council and Environmental Hotline Department of Conservation, Environment Northland, SPCA, Vets plus many more.
Our staff are processed through a four stage internal training and assessment course to reach Control Room Supervisor status. To reach Supervisor rank you must also complete CIMs training to level four. CIMS (Coordinated Incident Management System) is the nationally recognised training for Fire, Police, Ambulance, Civil Defence, and Local body emergency procedure management.

Security Industry History

Attached is our company profile, Ailsa Peter and I are with out a doubt the longest serving Security persons in Northland, my own involvement goes back to my duties in the Planning Office of NZPO (1966 to 1980).
I was the liaison Officer for emergency services, I also designed and planned the WR Police watch house communications desks, St Johns Ambulance coms desks and carried out the planning and Resiting of what was then Armourguard's new Coms centre.
In addition I was the officer that handled Northlands Type Approval for non Post Office Equipment to NZPO lines (predominantly alarm systems and Answer-phones).

General

Monitoring is more than sending a guard to an alarm activation; all of your alarms have a considerable diagnostic reporting function.
In addition we monitor plant alarm's (refrigeration-pump fail etc) Fire and medical.
We are WINZ approved suppliers of Medical Alarms and are an approved monitoring station for this service.
We offer IP monitoring which is currently the most secure monitoring medium commercially available.
We offer Internet access to your monitoring details (Log History, callout procedures, Key-holder list etc, you can email requests and changes directly from your account. We can email you the log of your alarms system weekly or monthly.
We also offer remote camera monitoring for car parks remote homes and factories.

GUARD RESPONSE

We have used Northern Districts Security ever since we started monitoring (1992) this company is owned by George and Loris Cherrington, as our business partners they are a similar size and are Northlands largest patrol-response company.
Their Patrol presence are verified by using a guard tour wand that reads electronic buttons on your premises to be downloaded for evaluation and reports.
